- At least 400,000 people have been unable to register to vote in the presidential election in Burkina Faso because of ongoing violence. Pray for people who have been marginalised because of this. Ask God for a decrease in tensions following the results, for wisdom and integrity for the elected president and for peace in Burkina Faso.
- The pollution season has started in India where farmers set fire to the fields to prepare the land for its next crop. The smoke from this has devastating effects on people’s health. The northern cities are already experiencing high levels of air pollution. Pray for protection for people in poverty who will not be able to afford protective equipment such as air filters and masks.
- Violence between armed groups in the Central African Republic have forced more than 500,000 people to flee into neighbouring countries since 2012. Last year, people began returning, but in March the pandemic closed the country's borders. They have now reopened and hundreds of people are moving back again. Pray for safe journeys as people make their way home and for blessings as they seek to restore their lives.
