We welcome our new Vicar, Rev’d Ann Lynes with a service of Induction and Institution at Holy Trinity on 27 February.
Ann grew up in Wallington, Surrey; she studied Sports Science in Edinburgh before pursuing a career as a civil servant for eight years, mostly in London. In 2009 Ann began to sense and follow God’s call towards ordained ministry. She resigned from her job in 2010 and moved to Ripon College Cuddesdon, Oxford, to complete her theological training. After this she returned to Southwark Diocese for ordination in 2013 and served her curacy in Barnes before moving to Northwood.
Ann writes: “I am delighted to have been appointed to become the Vicar of Holy Trinity Northwood.
Conversations about faith energise me and I enjoy exploring the importance and relevance of Christianity in our modern world. I am passionate about communicating God’s love for all people and I look forward to ministering among you as we strive together to serve the people of Northwood and share the good news of our faith.
In the following weeks and months, I shall be seeking to get to know you all, to hear your stories, find out who does what, and explore your collective vision of Holy Trinity’s current work, direction and future.”
