Festival of Choral Music in support of Clergy Support Trust

Festival of Choral Music in support of Clergy Support Trust
Published by Tony Richardson on Tue, 26 Apr 2022 00:00

The oldest Choral Festival in the world, the Clergy Support Trust Festival, returns to St Paul’s Cathedral for a 367th time this May. Tony and Rosie will be attending the service and you are welcome to sign up and join us!

The Festival is a unique and extraordinary event, and an opportunity to give thanks for the ministry of clergy during the challenges of these past two years and to listen to some wonderful choral music in the splendour of St Paul's Cathedral.

The service includes stunning individual choral performances from each of the choirs, culminating in a joint anthem.

The sermon will be delivered by the Dean of St. Paul’s, The Very Revd Dr David Ison, and people supported by the Trust will lead prayers.

The Service includes a grand procession of the choirs, cathedral clergy, Masters of City Livery companies, Stewards of the Festival and other dignitaries down the central aisle of St Paul’s.

The Service is free and will begin at 5pm on Tuesday 24 May 2022 at St Paul's Cathedral.

There is an optional dinner priced at £100pp which will begin at 6:30pm at Merchant Taylors' Hall in the City of London.

Tickets for both the service and the dinner can be booked here: https://www.clergysupport.org....
